Neil and Adriana Go To Grantown on Spey.
June 2016, Neil and Adriana came to town; Grantown on Spey town and made a video for fun. Their day out started with Brunch/Lunch at ‘The Wee Puffin Cafe’ on the High Street before a stroll down Seafield Avenue to the route known as The Dava Way.
The Dava Way is the old Highland Railway Route that links the historic towns of Forres and Grantown-on-Spey. 24miles ( 38KM )most of which is open countryside. This rail route meanders its way from sea level through farmland to the Dava Summit which is 1050ft (320m) over the Dava Moor down to Strathspey. The Dava Way is one of the best known long distance routes in the Highlands for walkers and cyclists alike.
The View Point Walk is a circular walk with some fantastic aspects overlooking Grantown on Spey. As can see from this wonderful video it is waymarked and easy underfoot. 3.25miles (5km) allow at least 2hours from Grantown on Spey town centre. There is a viewpoint marker which shows your surroundings too. The stroll along the Old Railway is very tranquil and recommended for all to enjoy.
This June 2016 Neil and Adrianna stopped off for Coffee and Cake at The High St Merchant. Sitting in the courtyard catching the rays too. I am exhausted as Neil and Adrianna headed into the Kylintra Woods on the Walk to The River just Beside the gateway to Tulach Ard BnB. That the Spey River of course. This walk is especially easy as accessible for those using 2wheels, 4wheels and 2 legs following a prepared path that winds through our majestic Pines young and old. The Lochan is great post to stop, listen and watch our Speyside Wildlife.
